How to Make Bone Broth

Bone Broth

Bone broth is one of the healthiest and reparative foods you can put into your body. We make this recommendation to everyone who has digestive issues from the most minor to the severe. Bone broth provides the building blocks for gut lining repair including; amino acids, collagen, elastin and additional nutrients.

This recipe includes:

  • approx. 4 lbs of either chicken or beef bones
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • approx. 10 peppercorns
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • enough water to cover the ingredients
  • salt to taste

Put all these ingredients in a slow cooker and set on low for 5-7 hours. The longer it cooks the more nutrients come out. Alternatively, use a pot and put on low heat for at least 5-7 hours. Ideally, this is a weekend project and can sit on the stove or the slow cooker for 24 hours.
